Every weekend I treat myself to a loaf of sourdough and a fresh pastry from my local bakers, Oven Door. The quality of their bakes is outstanding, but I couldn’t help notice that their branding wasn’t reflecting this. By picking a free font, that has no strategic meaning, Oven Door was missing the trick. I decided to help out my drafting them a proposal document that featured this logo suite I carefully crafted. The team were over the moon, and couldn’t believe the efforts I had gone to help their small business.
This bakery is named after its 19th century oven that they use daily to bake all of their produce, so it seemed fitting to focus the logo mark around this feature original. We crafted an exact replica of the Oven Door, and added a floral central stamp that features a 42, the house number of the bakery on the high street.
